Éigse Michael Hartnett Literary & Arts Festival

The 11th annual Éigse Michael Hartnett, County Limerick’s prestigious literary and arts festival, takes place from 22nd to 24th April inclusive. Leading Irish and international poets, writers and thinkers jostle with musicians, dancers, singers and storytellers, what Michael Hartnett called the ‘harp side of the Irish coin’. Hosted throughout the town of Newcastle West, in the library, schools, the courthouse, church, hospital and pubs, the breadth of the programme creates an ambience of warmth and conviviality that lends itself to lively gatherings and easy conversation.
