First Taxation (New/Imported Vehicles)

First Taxation of New Vehicles

You must submit the following:

• Form RF100 (available from Motor Dealer) with insurance details, policy no and expiry date;
• Fee (click here for current motor tax rates)
• Commercial (Goods) Vehicles up to 1524kg unladen weight must complete 'Goods Only' declaration form (available from Motor Tax Office).
• Commercial (Goods) Vehicles over 1524kg unladen weight must submit weigh docket from approved weighbridge

First Taxation of Imported Vehicles

You must submit the following:

• Form RF100 (available from Revenue Commissioners) with insurance details, policy no and expiry date;
• Fee (click here for current motor tax rates)
• Commercial (Goods) Vehicles up to 1524kg unladen weight, - must complete a "Goods Only" Declaration form. (Available from motor tax office)
• Commercial (Goods) Vehicles over 1524kg unladen weight must submit weigh docket from approved weighbridge

There are two approved weighbridges in Limerick City

• JH Roche & Son Ltd, Dock Road, Limerick
